I found that Brazilians use a lot of body gestures as an infrmal way to communicate. Here are some that I found out:
1)
thumbs up is used any time and anywhere
2) never ever use th
OK sign where you put the thumb and finger in a circle. This is actually rude in Brazil since it has an obscene connotation. To be safe, use the thumbs up sign.
3) snapping multiple times means that something is taking a long time
4) never do the "hush" getsure to someone. It is considered impolite in Brazil.
5) do not be offended when someone hisses at you to call your attention. Hissing is an informal way to get someone's attention...but it can get annoying.
