Brazil in a catholic country. so naturally they have many churches. they are simply huge in area and dimension. some of them also have ranks in world listing of huge church buildings.
the list of huge church buildings are given below:

-Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida
-Largo de Pelourinho
-Bahia
-Praia Dos Carneiros
-Church of Nosso do Senhor do Bonfim
-Mercado Baixo
-The Cathedral
-Cruzeiro
-Igreja Dos Monjes
-Ruinas da Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição

most of these churches are situated in the north-eastern area of Brazil.

Brazil government should make a brochure/catalog that focus not only to carnivals but religious tours like the one in Israel! A alternative to the beaches and parties.

so true. i haven't thought it that way. but its a very important thing and a good way to increase the popularity of the country. other than that there are thousands of pious people who are only interested in visiting religious places. they will must get attracted by Brazilian churches.
