Default How do you celebrate Christmas in Brazil?

    Hi,
how do you celebrate Christmas in Brazil? With family or friends? Do you buy presents for everybody? Do you have a formal dinner or lunch? On the 24th or 25th?

My family celebrates in the night of 24th in someone's house, normally in the grandam's house.... Because oure family is small we try to buy little presents for everybody. In the next day some of our relatives pop in for a lunch to have the leftover...

Christmas in Brazil is celebrated like those of other Christian Countries. They have their dinner together with the family and exchange gifts too.. Others are out to celebrate Christmas in street parties.. It is very fun to celebrate Christmas in Brazil

Yes, every year I celebrate the Christmas in family, we adorn our house with beautiful Chirstmas symbols, Christmas lights, we prepare a very formal and special dinner with many walnuts, chestnuts, almonds, panettone, champagnes, etc.

We usually wait for the 12h00 pm between 24th to 25th when we fireworks, and we also also give presents, and we wish a Merry Christmas for all of us!

My family and I are Christians, this feast is very important and sacred for us, so we think that Christmas party should be in family, at home, but the New Year party may be wherever each want.
