    Default Football in Brazil

As you know, football is the most practiced sport in Brazil, and there are many regional, but one national championship in Brazil.

Brazil is divided in 27 states, and from the beginning of the year (January) until May (middle), all states promote their own football championship with the best teams of each state. These tourneys are hard played.

Now, the most important football championship named "Campeonato Nacional" (National Championship) has been starting and it goes until November.

Brazilians love to watch their teams playing on TV every Sunday.

Mprado, are the athletes over there paid a lot of money like in the USA? Just curious how it works over there. In the USA football, baseball and hockey players are all unionized and make a hell of a lot of money and just about all of them are millionaires! Thanks.

    Hi Danno,

Yes, football in Brazil means MONEY, much money...The football players of those teams that participate in the National and Regional football championships, as I described in the topic, earn too much money, and they play hard to try a position in the Master Brazilian Team (which plays in the world cups), and their dream is also to play in the great football teams in England, France, Spain, Italy, etc.

They earn much money, for sure...
