Default Brazil for one month - debating between two itineraries: can you help me?!

    Oi!
I'm Sarah from France and I am going, for the first time, in Brazil this september. I want to book my tickets but I cannot decide whether I should

1- Start from Salvador, then go along the coast, go to Belo Horizonte, Rio and end up in São Paulo (for the biggest cities...)

    OR

    2- Start directly from BH.

Keeping in mind that I just have one month and a rather tight budget. I had considered taking a plane from Salvador but that would be a bit expensive.
Do you think it is worth it going there for a few days, and then going by bus to Belo Horizonte (with a few stops of course, I'm thinking Porto Seguro for example) ?
Or should I rather focus on a smaller area, but then would I not be missing out... ?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

I would suggest you to go to Salvador, Porto Seguro (below and near to Salvador and where Brazil was discovered by the Portugueses in the past. You will find wonderful beaches such as Trancoso and Arraial D´Ajuda beaches); Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Try to spend most of your time in Rio de Janeiro.

Have a nice trip to Brazil!
