Default Moving to Brazil in january

    Hello there!

Im new in this forum, so feel free to remove the post if i posted it in the wrong place.

I just wonder how long my money will last (30.000 real/reais), and how much value it is in Brazil, Rio. I will eventually get a job ofcourse, but it's a start.
So, my questions for you is:

    - How much (approximately) is the montly price of an apartment in Rio with one bedroom? (I really appreciate if you would include the tax, internet, electricity, wather etc)

    - Whats the prices of everyday-food? (milk, potatoes, bread etc)

Considering that i'm norwegian, how much racism is there against white people?

I really appreciate every single answer i get, even if you can't help me

You may ask: Why Brazil? Well... the music, the people and the carnivals. I just love it

If you have any questions about my trip, or anything, just ask

    - Thank you for your time. Have a nice day!

Hi Andre, the big cities in Brazil are becoming too expensive, such as Rio de Janeiro, because the Brazilian currency BRL (Real) is too overvalued against the Dollar (USD), anyway, R$30.000,00 in Rio de Janeiro can last about 10 or 12 months.

    - How much (approximately) is the monthly price of an apartment in Rio with one bedroom? (I really appreciate if you would include the tax, internet, electricity, wather etc): Depends of the district (bairro) in Rio de Janeiro, but you will pay about R$2.000,00 per month in a good flat.

    - Whats the prices of everyday-food? (milk, potatoes, bread etc): You can consider about R$60,00 per day if you intend to eat in fast-foods (self-services).

Considering that i'm norwegian, how much racism is there against white people? No racism against white people in Brazil.

    Have a nice trip.

Hi Andre, I don´t know exactly how much costs to live in a Favela, but I guess the prices are very lower.
