Are block parties common in Brazil? Are there any really big famous block parties?

I like block parties.

I love block parties, but I haven't seen any since I've been in Brazil. I'm sure there is some though.

In more popular neighborhoods you might see this. And it depends on the type of neighbors you have, some people are more reserved and don't participate nor throw parties while others are more out going and love such events. If you have those out going neighbors your bound to experience a block party soon.

Yes, there are block parties in brazil ,but it depends where you stays( your locality) as mentioned by Gary40. I have enjoyed the block party once, and can say its a great fun....simply amazing ....

Interesting, may I know what is this block party about? Is it those where a person turns his or her house into some sort of open party or something?
