Not really, but I do give candy to children if they happen to come to my house.

I probably wouldn't dress up either unless I went to a Halloween party, or if I had to do it for an event..I also notice that Halloween celebrations are more common among younger people, especially the kids but teens like to throw Halloween parties as well to show off their creativity and to see what others came up with.

I don't celebrate it neither do the general people at my place, but we do have some of this Halloween toys and stuff during that month which is more of a collection and such rather than celebration itself.

I do not celebrate Halloween now. But I have fond memories of my childhood
days when I used to go for trick or treat.

Speaking of Halloween I heard in Brazil it's increasingly popular for this US culture, why is it that so?

As I am a baptist, I do not celebrate Halloween though it is a worldwide celebration. But when I was a child, I remember going to the cemetery to visit the grave of my relatives who passed away together with my family, aunts, uncles and cousins.

There is nothing much in my country, Halloween is not a part of our culture . . . Just few kids throw a costume party with Trick-Or-Treats.

It's not a traditon here so no. But we have another celebration in February that is celebrated a bit like Halloween is in America...it's mostly for children but I'm 22 and I still love it .

We don't usually celebrate Halloween but my I bought my kids costumes for their parties and trick or treats. I think this kind of celebration is for kids only. I would rather watch horror movies to feel the spirit of Halloween.

Halloween is not an official holiday in Brazil, but is increasingly celebrated.

After all, what marketing giants can pass up such a huge opportunity? International companies have led the way in promoting Halloween parties in metropolitan areas in Brazil, and to some extent it seems to be catching on.

Brazil's culture is very rich and does not need import other country's culture. They have Carnival, Boi Bumba's party, Festa Junina (Juny Party) and others.
Brazilians can lost their native traditions because of this interesting market day.
What do you think about it? Do you think that halloween can affect or change the brazilians cultures? Or do you think that both cultures can live together?

I would rather to pray for the dead than to celebrate it.

I don't celebrate nor party during Halloween. But since there are activities in my kids' school, and they are required to don their Halloween costumes, I make them. I don't buy them because that would be so commercialized and you will see a lot of similar costumes, lower points for originality.

i think Brazilians love to celebrate and have fun from what I can see from some of their festivals so I guess it is not a surprise that some have started celebrating Halloween..it is a day full of fun fare, festivities and costumes.

as for me...i really don't celebrate Halloween unless I go to a party...but my nephew just loves it! i guess because of all the free candies!

I am a Catholic, but we celebrate as you do. We usually go to the cemetery on either Nov. 1 and Nov. 2.

But during the night, we all ask to wear costumes and give candies to the children who do trick or treats.
