Do you have any recipes for Brazilian food? I would love to be able to make Brazilian food so that I can eat it even when I am not in Brazil!

I do not know any recipes off the top of my head. Plus, I do not know if my recipes are actually Brazilian. I would recommend buying a cookbook.
I do not cook any special Brazilian food. In fact, I like to go out to eat more than I like to cook.
Frango ao Vinho (Breast of chicken in red wine sauce)
3 slices Bacon
6 pieces chicken breast, skinless and boneless
salt & pepper to taste
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1-1/2 cups small onions, peeled
1 cup dry red wine
1/2 cup chicken stock, to taste
dried thyme
1. Fry bacon until crisp, drain on absorbent paper, break into pieces and reserve.
2. Season breasts with salt and pepper. Dip in flour. Heat olive oil in the saute pan. Add breasts and brown well on both sides. Remove from the pan and keep warm.
3. In the same pan add onions, wine, stock and thyme. Cook until the onion is soft and the sauce thickens. Adjust seasonings. Return the meat to the pan and continue cooking until done.
4. At service, place some sauce on the plate under the breast. Garnish with onions and bacon.
5. Serves 6.

My husband is going for business in February and we may or may not be bringing the kids. Not 100% sure of the area we are visiting. This is an opportunity that just came about for my husband's company and they have invited him to go along on this trip. I am definitely not missing this trip.
Just for trivial purposes about famous Brazilian Recipes.. Created by slaves in the colonial Brazil, Feijoada became a national dish and very popular because it is easy to prepare for large crowds. Picanha is best cut for barbecue. In the US you cannot find it available at grocery stores, but you can ask your butcher to cut it out for you the Picanha way. It is the cap of the top sirloin. The preferred grilling method is to rub it with rock salt, place large pieces with its fat in a skewer and slowly grill over charcoal. A typical barbecue in Brazil should always have picanha just with salt or you can use a paste with garlic for additional flavor. Now I am hungry![]()
How about tacos? My kids love tacos and this is a really simple and healthy way to get everyone around the table; even for busy mom's and dad's!
