I eat one of the most popular and common food that most of the Brazilians eat everyday, that is rice, beans, fried bovine steak, fried potatoes, and salad of watercress or lettuce.

I usually also eat roast chicken, or some kind of fish, such as roast whitefish (pescada branca).

Rice, beans, and salad provide us almost all proteins which our body needs for a good working.

    try this Recipe of feijoada ;

    8 cups dried black beans

3 pounds carne seca (Brazilian salted cured beef)

2 pounds sweet sausage (I use Portuguese choriço when available)

    2 pounds baby back spareribs

    2 bay leaves

    1 large onion

    2 cloves garlic

    3 tablespoons olive oil

The night before, soak the beans in a large bowl with water to cover at least 3-4 inches. Soak the carne seca in water to cover. The next morning, drain the beans and place in a large pot with water to cover by at least 3 inches. Bring the beans to a boil in medium heat.

Meanwhile, cut the carne seca into 1-inch pieces. Cut the sausage into 1-inch pieces. (When I use the Portuguese sausage I usually prick it with a fork and simmer it for ten minutes in enough water to cover; then I cut it.) Cut the ribs into 2-rib sections.

Add the carne seca, sausage, ribs and bay leaves to the beans. Simmer for about 2 hours or until soft (Goya brand black beans usually take about 2 hours) , stirring from time to time, adding water as necessary to keep beans covered. Keep an eye on the beans so they don't burn at the bottom!

Chop the onion and garlic. Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until golden brown. Add two ladlefuls of beans and mash them. Put this back into the pot. It will thicken and season the beans.

Continue to simmer gently for at least another hour, adding water as necessary. A good feijoada should have a creamy consistency when done. Remove the bay leaves. Some people take the meats out at this point and serve them separately on a platter. I like to leave them in with the beans, it keeps them hot. Serve the feijoada and garnishes in ceramic bowls and platters, it will add a touch of authenticity!

To serve feijoada, put a mound or rice on your plate and place a ladleful or two of feijoada on top. Arrange oranges and couve around the sides. Sprinkle the beans and couve with farofa and add a spoonful of sauce to the side.

Fish and chicken are my take. I like to try new things so occationally I will try something that is prepared a bit differently. I like any type of dish with fish or chicken. I try to avoid too much rice unless it is whole wheat rice and I also skip heavy pasta.

I eat lots of chocolate and love drinking a good glass of wine. I prefer non-alcoholic beer and I hate soda pop.

Hello, I usually eat rice, beans, beef steak, and a good salad.

Rice and beans is the most important and popular food in Brazil.

Rice and black beans are ingredients of the most delicious food named FEIJOADA.

What are some of the different types of pizza that they have in Brazil? In The U.S. my favorite topping on pizza is Eggplant or sausage and mushrooms! Thanks.

    Unhappy Coffee, rice and beans

Brazilians eat too much sugar, too much salt, lots of food with low nutritious value and three daily cups of coffee - at least, that is the info that come from a very cool study just published by IBGE:

In Brazil the strong food is beans, often accompanied by rice and vegetables. You will never get an anemia this way and it can be found in any place and any region.

You can find the best trattorias in São Paulo, with very good pasta. The best Brazil`s pizzeries are there also. It is a very good gastronomic destination!

If you go to south seashore of São Paulo state, it is good option to visit Cananéia and Ilha Comprida. When there you can try the "yellow fish" (pescada amarela), it worths it, incredible taste and quality, made by local seafood restaurants.

The immigrant descendents in Brazil keep the tradition of their origins. So, the italian descendents eat pasta twice a week and pizza on Saturdays or Sundays evenings, for dinner. Differently of United States or Canada, Brazilian don`t use to eat pizza at lunch, it is a dinner.

I would say rice because it's heavy meal and can last longer. But sometimes, fast food is preferable as it's fast and easy as well as more convenient. Plus, you can have it anywhere!
