    Hello all!

    Brand new to the forum, living in Brasil to study Architecture for one year, living in Caxias do Sul, RS.

    I love it here! the food especially.. but I did want to have my new friends try a little taste of the USA...

    doughnuts.

    i know brasil has them, but they just arent the same. i'm having trouble finding the translation for "shortening"... anyone know the equivalent?
