Here in the US a certain waxing method is called a Brazillian Wax. Does its origins actually come from Brazil or is it just something like French Fries.

Wow...thank for that info! I don't know what is Brazilian wax....can you please give specific definition?
Bikini waxing or pubic depilation is the depilation of body hair in and around the pubic area. Originally meant to prevent pubic hair from being visible around the edges of a bikini or swimsuit. It now often includes areas covered by bikinis.
Brazilian waxing refers to a removal of everything, front to back, while sometimes leaving a thin strip of hair on the pubis used by those who wear thong bikinis. An extreme form of bikini waxing, it involves complete removal of hair from the buttocks and adjacent to the anus, perinium and vulva (labia majora and mons pubis). Waxes that remove all of the pubic hair are known as a full Brazilian wax, full Bikini wax, Hollywood wax or the Sphinx.![]()

Congratulations KittyGirl!!! you are totaly right
This whole waxing thing seems to be sooo painful! :-(
As they say, "NO PAIN, NO GAIN"![]()
It is not so painful as people say, but of course it hurts a bit, just for 5 minuts after you feel so much better and with 10 kg less :d
Many women here opt for the Brazilian waxing since it guarantees longer results. There are now laser treatments that are being provided for those that want to get even better results. Waxing hurts a bit if you have never done it before, but you will find that with time the pain gets less and less. The demand for it grows in Summer and carnival.
There is some good information on this subject provided by Wikipedia. If you go here you can read all about it and come to your own conclusion as to the origin of the Brazilian Bikini Wax - Bikini waxing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Brazilian bikini waxes were introduced to New York in 1987 by 7 Brazilian-born sisters (the J sisters). The Brazilian remains a popular hair removal method in the US. Brazilian waxes differ from regular bikini waxes because hair is removed in the front, back and everything in between. A "landing strip" is typically left in the front, but some clients opt for everything removed.
