I think I can recall a few wars from my history lessons many years ago. I believe there was The War of the Triple Alliance 1864-1870.,

In the 1820s there was the Argentina-Brazil War. And Also they were involved in World War I ans World War II. That is all I can
recall as far as wars they were in. I suggest doing some research online, there is a wealth of information out there.

Brazil, like many other countries in the world, was also involved in Wars and Revolutions. I still remember from the lessons in the history class some of them but the most famous which is considered as a big conflict is South America was the 'Paraguay War" or Guerra do Paraguai. It was Paraguay agains Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina from 1864 to 1870. Also, called Guerra da Triplice Alianca. It started when the Paraguayan Army invaded Mato Grosso in Brazil with the command of the president Francisco Solano Lopez. One of the reasons was because Brazil went to Uruguay with his Army to remove the president Atanasio Aguierre and put in his place Solano Lopes....

    "DUTCH INVASION AT BRAZIL"

I can report an important war in the XVI century, when Dutch governor has invaded the Northeast of Brazil in search of sugar. During its rule, Netherlands´ government has sent the prince Mr. Maurício de Nassau, in order to govern the invaded lands and create a Dutch colony in all Northeast region of Brazil.

During the rule period (1621-1654), Mauricio de Nassau raised taxes too much, creating many conflicts, then the prince has resigned. This fact has eased the Portuguese reaction and in 1654, the Portuguese settlers, supported by Portugal and England, expelled the Dutch from Brazil.
