Default Did you have Communism in Brazil in 68?

How was the influence of the communism in Brazil from the time that Soviet Union invaded some east european countries to change the rules? Did you have any problems like the prohibition to express yourself? also did you have some music and books banned?

In fact, Communism has lost the fight in Brazil by the "Golpe de 1964", when the militars got the power and implemented the dictatorship, expelling all communists from Brazil. We have lived about 20 years under a hard dictatorship, in order to defend Brazil from the URRS domination.

Communism spread to Brazil in the 1920s. In 1922, the Communist Party of Brazil, or the PCB was established. It was a part of the Communist International, which meant that it took orders from Moscow. The party, of course, took the stance that it wanted to overthrow whatever bourgeois government was in power. It did not have enough membership, however, even to start an insurrection for a number of years. Its membership undoubtedly struggled due to the fact that the party had been outlawed by the government of Brazil.
