I would have to say without a doubt that the most popular music in Brazil would have to be
Samba. Samba was created from African roots in Brazil. It was formed in Rio in the early part of the
20th century.

i like the song Girl from Ipanema this is one of my favorite song.This song was inspired by a girl who used to pass in front of the bar daily on her way to the beach.

I think the music of Brazil is "Brasil" by Cazuza...

Brazilian people are divided into 2 classes, the people who loves Samba and the people who don´t like Samba, but appreciate the MPB (Popular Brazilian Music).

Singers like Caetano Velozo, Roberto Carlos, Djavan, Chico Buarque de Holanda, Herbert Viana, Frejat, and many others sing MPB songs.
