Rock in Rio - BACK TO RIO!
Rock festival series known as Rock in Rio will be back to its original city (Rio de Janeiro!!) in 2011.
Well it began in Rio in 1985, but Lisbon and Madrid were holding the festival from 2004 to 2010.
Over 700 thousand people are expected to be at the next Rock in Rio and they are investing over 40 million dollars in the project, so yeah you can expect good things!!
The festival will be divided in 6 days of rock, alternative and pop and a lot of speculation is going on regarding the 2011 line up, there's been talk about the presence of the biggest names in the current musical scene, like Shakira, Lady Gaga, Mettalica and Radio Head. Brazil's big ones like Frejat, Capital Inicial, Jota Quest and Ivete Sangalo are also expected to show up!
The festival is such a great experience. Honestly, it's highly recommended, its a lot of fun!!
So, who would you like to see at Rock in Rio 2011? Do you plan to go? And have you ever been to one of the previvous editions?

Rock Festival is usually free for all. Its always an open stage. It would be great if Paulistano could provide us with accurate information. Thanks for the information again.
