Thread: Cansei der ser Sexy (CSS)

When you close your eyes and picture Brazil, what do you think of? Carnivale in Rio di Janeiro? Rainforests and sandy beaches? Super tanned, toned bodies in hyper-coloured bikinis? Probably all of the above! Cansei de ser sexy, aka CSS, have been taking the world by storm since the release of their super catchy debut album, which features the ultra cute vocals of front-woman LoveFoxx (let’s face it, how can you not adore a band with a singer called LoveFoxx?!) backed up by funky electro rock grooves. Formed in 2003 by a group of friends who ached for more pop music, they came to prominence in Brazil’s underground club scene and grew with a little help from the internet. CSS (which means ‘Tired of Being Sexy’ in Brazillian Portuguese) have now toured with the likes of Gwen Stefani, Diplo and Ladytron, and they are currently in the midst of an epic world tour that sees them head everywhere, from Finland to Scotland.
