Thread: Search for paid or volunteer jobs in the areas of GIS and\or Nature Protection

Hi all,

I am looking for any opportunity to get a paid or a volunteer position in the two areas:
* GIS (Geographic Information System) and\or
* Nature Conservation (Nature Protection, Ecology).
It would be good if a GIS job will be related with ecology or nature protection as well.

I’m from Russia but have immigrated to Brazil a few months ago. I had an experience of work in both of these areas in Russia. This is reflected in my CV (a curriculum vitae) and in some scientific publications.

I’d like to develop in both of these areas in Brazil as well. Realizing the difficulty of finding a well-paid position in these areas for me quickly (as a foreigner that doesn't have a brazilian experience) – I’m considering the possibility of starting as a volunteer (especially if work will be related with my preferred area of nature protection).


I live in Campinas (near Sau Paulo). I’m looking for a job in both of these cities and in the nearest areas. However, if I find an interesting offer for a short-term project in the remote regions – I can use it.

I would be very obliged for any information, useful links or advices.
