Thread: Do most businesses fail?

I have heard that most new businesses fail in the first few years. Is that true in Brazil?

Most businesses fail. The main cause is lack of planning which usually results in the business running out of capital sometime in the first year or few years. You have to have enough money to run the business for a long time, because you can't count on the profits coming in right away.
