    Default china state Grid has bought the Brazil power Asset.

    hey do you know that the China's most popular electric company the state grid has bought the Brazil power asset to enhance there business overseas? they will have a contract of 30 years of operation and the license can be renewed for20 years.
    i can't understand why the government has done this? is it right?

    Really? That does seem quite odd that they are letting China in on such a lucrative
    and important contract like that. China is not really known to have a great record on
    environmental issues. I hope they are responsible and do not further pollute the area through
    their acquisition of the Brazil power company.

    yes it is a very odd matter. i don't know why they are doing this and what is the benefit.

    Yes I was able to find more information about it here: http://www.cnbc.com/id/40774330. Frankly I am not sure why Brazil has done this and not relied on its own people to talent to provide the power that is needed. The chinese are not known to have very strong business concepts when it comes on to certain issues such as: human labor, wages, fair practices and a list of other things. It is a bit disappointing to know that Brazil has left itself bare to depend on another country.

    Plus a 30 year contract is really unbelievable!! What happens if they fall through!

    i don't know guys.i just heard the news and paste it in this forum. but i just cant think that why the government is allowing this? its high society so may be internal reasons may be one of the cause of this contract.
