    Default Jobs in Florianopolis

Can someone please advise me as to how the employment situation is in Florianopolis?
I was thinking about relocating there soon but will need an income to remain there and surf. Myself, being a surfer and with over 4o beaches this is considered the epi-center of the surfing community in Brazil.

Please let me know how the job market is there if you can. Thanks.

Brazil economy has been showing a high employment tax, and Florianópolis has many jobs, and many retired Brazilians from other states running their own business.

I lived in Florianopolis for while and I can give you a good advice. Floripa is a state of politicians and the best way to live comfortable there is to join the exams which are offering jobs to work in the public sector. The competition is quite high but would be a good way to live there. Otherwise, in other areas I think the salary is low and the competition is also high.

Really. are you suggesting joining the hiprocasy of government to make a decent living? Interesting concept.
I think Lenin and Karl Marx would agree with you!

No, I think you misunderstood the whole concept of what Rapageuiro73 is trying to say to you. In Brazil some of the best paying jobs are those that are in the public sector. In terms of financial stability you will not have to worry about that in Floripa if you get into one of the jobs that is being offered by the public sector. It is not about joining in the 'hypocrisy of government' as you state it, it is about being financial stable in areas in government. This does not mean you are going to run for a seat or be a politician it just means that once you are successful in the exams that you stand the chance of being successful in the public sector.

Hey, in São Paulo state you may find more jobs, with higher salaries than Florianópolis, because the living costs in Florianópolis is lower than São Paulo.

Yes, thank you for complement my message "brazilianbraniac". I feel quite sad sometimes, not so many jobs available, and each deputy or politician has 5-10 people behind him, doing not much really, and making a lot of money, then multiply this for 40 deputy, "vereadores" and other politicians, you will have a big number of people earning a lot, taking a lot, and then we pay a lot, in tax and other things.... But the point is, unless you get a job in the "competition" to join the public sector, it's not so easy to find a good job, on the streets, that will give you a great salary...

There are many Americans coming to Brazil for living and working.

Florianópolis is a good city for that, but São Paulo city has more opportunities.

    Good luck for you!
