Studies have shown that individuals who own pets, including cats or dogs, live a happier and healthier life. The reason is because pets provide companionship and unconditional love, which is one of the reasons that they may help to eliminate minor cases of depression and/or stress.

Yes, I agree to the article. I have a very funny and intelligent female dog at home - Terrier Airedale - and she is fantastic, very funny...lol...she really brought happiness and energy to home. She is always happy and ready to have fun.
According to researches, dogs like and need to exchange energies, this is because they like to be near someone, usually near to its owner, and they love to be touched in order to exchange this vital energy.
Dogs are definitely the best friends and companions of humans...lol.

I know it helps with depression as well as other illness. Pet has a unique way of know what owners need. I have an Aussie and she will not leave my side or my daughters when we are not feeling well. Can't beat it when you have a tough day at work and your are greeted in the garage by a dog that has been waiting all day to see you.

Across the world, dogs are being used to help people cope with mental and physical hindrances. Therapy dogs are a subcategory of service dogs; they undergo extensive training and can help people cope with mild to major disabilities.
