Thread: Package Tours in Brazil

Have you gone on a packaged tour in Brazil? Do you recommend it?

i don't think its a good idea. i prefer traveling in Brazil by yourself will be much enjoyable and cheap too.

Package tour is great if you don't want to take risks and if there's nobody familiar with the place. But if you want it to be more exciting, try to explore it yourself. It would be more fun! Like what Lao Tzu said, a good traveler has no fixed plans, and has no intent on arriving.. hehe. Good luck!!

at first want to say that its a forum only for the people who are totally into travel. i have told you before that tourism means excitement. but if you are traveling with your family mainly with your children then its better to visit Brazil in a travel package. but if you are interested in excitement then it will be just waste of money to go with a tour package. so my suggestion if you are more than 18 then AVOID TOUR PACKAGES.

I think tour packages are boring. You get into a bus with a group of people you do not know, then your guide talks for some hours, you visit the place and then you go back to your hotel...wow! talk about excitement! Anyway, in some cities like Rio de Janeiro I would strongly suggest tour packages because of the crime rate. Other than that enjoy oure freedom!

yes bro you are absolutely right. i totally agree with you. i think if you are a guy, you should not be afraid of mugging. so i strongly suggest to visit without any tour package. but if you are traveling with your family then you can hire a guide.
