How much money do you need to get into Brazil? I know some countries won't let you in unless you can prove you have a certain amount of money.

I do not know if there is a requirement. You wouldn't need to bring the money with you, but rather just prove that you have it. For example, a bank statement would probably suffice.
Yeah, and as for spending money, it depends on what you plan to do there. If you plan to stay at a luxury hotel and eat at the fancy restaurants then you'll need to bring a decent sum of cash. If not, then a smaller sum of money might be sufficient. However, you should always bring in some spare cash just in case as you might of forgot about certain expenses or perhaps you stumble upon some good deals.
Don't worry about that .You don't need to carry excess money with you. Better carry a credit card or visa anything , you won't have any problem..

Speaking of it I wonder how's the cost of living there like? Are the food and stuffs affordable or expensive compare to other countries such as UK and China?
UK is far expensive whereas China is quite cheap in terms of cost of living there. Actually it depends on your currency like if you are a U.S citizen you will find countries in East quite cheap whereas reverse is also true.
Yeah I heard from my friends that stuffs in China is pretty cheap while they traveling there, for Brazil let's say for McDonald how much would a normal meal cost?
ya you should have enough money so that you can spend on shopping and all the luxury...and the money also depends on how much day's you are spending.....for a week If you want the best restaurants, hotels and services, you should bring much more. About US$ 1000/day.
If you mean in your question is how much you should have in your bank account if you apply for a Brazil visa, I think you should have enough. I just don't have the fix amount in mind how much would the embassy require...
I don't think there's a fixed money in your bank account needed for you to go to Brazil. Some countries are not even required to apply for a tourist visa, such as those from Switzerland, UK and the Philippines.
Always have 'enough' amount with you in case of an emergency . . .
any destination you go the amount of money or should I say "spending money" depends on what you want to do and how much you are willing to spend.
You have a lot of things you can do in Brazil so you can always base your budget on what you plan to do there. When I travel I always try to make a list of what I want to see and do in a place to give me an idea on how much money I need, which place I'll go first, do I need to make multiple hotel reservations...things like that...
there are many scopes to spend foul money in Brazil. but if you are a real visitor with a medium budget then you have to follow different type of rules to minimize your expenses. without the plane fair you can share every thing. so visiting 4 people together, will make your tour very much cheap. you an share room , vehicles while going from one place to another. it will reduce your total cost. so basically you don't need so much money to visit Brazil.
thanks
