Default over stay issue in Brazil

hi can any one tell me about the over stay issues in Brazil? if any one stayed there for 2 weeks extra of the schedule time then what will happen to him? i know in some countries the government just charge a nominal fine and leave the victim. and in case of emergencies like treatment, death issues, or illness the fine is also reduced or removed. it it true? plz give me a detail information.

I believe that you are not suppose to stay there for more than 90 days at a time, but you can renew your
Visa at the nearest Federal Police station for an additional 90 days. The fine for overstay is about $8 per day,
which I think they cap at $800, You are not required to pay it until you actually leave the country.

Hello, You cannot overstay in Brazil- if they find out( and eventually they do) you will have to pay a fine for this OR the worse you cannot come into the country again because you are banned from entering. Of course you will need to justify why your stay stretched out longer-- but even so there is still no guarantee that you can get off "scotch free" for the incident.
