Just talked to my friend who just came back from Brazil. The Bahia Arena is football-only stadium and a new project for the 2014 World Cup. It is literally located in Salvador, 50,000 people maximum capacity. It was redesigned in 2006 after it was included in the bidding of the World Cup. I dont really know the schedule matches but there is a game everyday that you can watch.

The best football stadium in Salvador, named Fonte Nova, for 60,000 people, was imploded in this year to give place to a very new modern stadium, in order to attend the future World Cup games.

There is also a football stadium in Salvador called Barradão. It was built in 1986,
so it's still fairly new by Brazillian standards. It holds around 52,000 people at full
capacity. It's home team is Esporte Clube Vitória.

    hi guys,
i don't really know about Fonte Nova but Bahia arena is awesome. one of my friend told me that the football lovers must visit this stadium at least for one time in their life. 0
it is mainly designed for football. so the field is are extra ordinary and the capacity is about ;50000. but you should collect the tickets before the game. i can't help you about getting ticket cause i am not in to Football.

Ressacada, Florianopolis!!!! It's because is my football team when I used to live there.... So, wake up in the morning to enjoy the beach, and in the afternoon take a bus to the football stadium (closer to the airport) you can see some little planes in the sky Pop in for a churrasquinho de gato (cat barbecue) outside stadium...don't worry, it's not from cat, it's just a name... Then youcan watch one of the best teams in the area playing football

There are way too many stadiums in Brazil that you guys should check out. We never know what teams are playing because usually the football stadiums are always open for game practice.

Estádio do Maracanã / "Maracanã stadium"
    Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
    Original capacity = 200,000
    Current capacity = 153,022

Most of Brazilian Stadiums are closed for reformation due to the World Cup in 2014.
