I heard it's pretty easy to go through unlike those in US where you would need detailed checking and stuff.

Customs normally don't take to long to get through especially when you have all of the paper work ready. It also depends on the lines.

Yup you can breeze through customs if you have all the right documents and you don't bring in something illegal. Basically, if you are not hiding something, you can go through customs without any problems at all.

In the US it can take hours at times..... ergh

Yup. They do scrutinize almost every item you carry that's why it takes longer than any other country.
