    Cool Immigration Statistics

From the years 1808 to 1940 most immigrants came to Brazil from well over 50 nations all over the world; the majorities were from Portugal, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Russia, France, Spain, Turkey, the British Isles, and other South American countries. This surge of immigration was caused by political and financial conditions and by work opportunities on the plantations. Many settled in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Rio de Janeiro.

Yes, this is the history of immigration to Brazil. Brazil was a virgin land, and most of people of those nations, who was living in bad conditions or hopeless in their nations have decided to try Brazil.

Wars and crisis in Europe and Asia caused a high immigration in mass.
