    I think you have to pay taxes in Brazil even if you are not a citizen.

    Tourists visiting Brazil have to pay only Airport Tax. Also some hotels may require a City Tax which is about $1-3 per day per room.

    Thats fair, at least from my perspective. Every country has it own policies toward foreign visitor. In certain middle east countries and specially asian countries , i have seen visitors are charged extra in every sphere except in few cases like food n certain other things.

    Speaking of it does the citizen in Brazil pay tax for those restaurants as well, I mean those government tax. I heard those tax were meant to be paid by those fast food restaurants and such instead of us.
