I'm new to the forum. My first post.

Basically I'm an American who is currently living in Japan. I once lived in Brazil for six months, teaching English, in Sao Paulo. Absolutely LOVED Brazil. I wanted to emigrate there, at the time. But didn't make much money, and thought it was better to leave and earn income and think about it later.

Now, I'm with a kid, and wife, and living in Japan.

But still dream of Brazil from time to time. Definitely the best country I ever lived. If my situation were a little different, I'd be back there in a heartbeat!

Maybe someday I can retire there, to a beach city. Speaking of which, what are the best beach cities with the most density, less car-oriented, and easy access to the beaches? Probably places in the Northeast....or possibly the Southeast?
