    Hi Everyone,
Has anyone recently moved to Brazil and have tips on what might be important to take to Brazil from America like kitchen appliances etc.
And if you have any tips I'd be glad to hear them.

    Hi Lisacoco.

You will basically get everything you need in Brazil. It all depends on where you live. If you live in any big city, you shouldn't have any problems on getting what you need. If you live in more remote areas ie deep in the amazon, you will still be able to get everything you need for example in Manaus. The only thing that I can think of is clothing and electronics. If you like to wear well known brands in clothing than you should do some serious shopping in the US before coming to Brazil. Also electronics are a good thing to bring, such as PC, Mac, iPhone's etc. Brazil has a very closed economy and import taxes are seriously high.

Apart from these things, you'll be fine... Brazil has everything you will ever need and the prices are reasonable.

    Hello Lisacoco,

It is best to just buy here and save yourself the hassle of having to pack and pay the extra cost for transportation. Depending on the region you move to, there are stores that offer delivery services and will mount anything that is necessary. However, like I said this really depends on where you are located. Larger cities have better customer service and options.
