Thread: Gold mining?

Is gold mining a good investment? What do you think?

I have been told it is a good investment, but the gold mining companies don't seem to be doing as good as I thought.

Well it depends where you do it and how you plan to do it.

If you plan to go pro and hire a team to do it, and buy all the fancy equipment it's a rather large investment with a big risk. However, at the same time there's not many places where you can just pick up a pickaxe and find some gold. So you'd have to do it the professional way to get better results.

You also probably have to get permission to mine to begin with, so it's not as easy as it sounds unless you owned a mine..
