What currency do you use to invest in? Do you invest with American dollars?

I want to start investing in gold, because it is more standard than US dollars and other paper currencies.

I had invested in gold over the internet (e-gold) but stopped doing so because it was a bit risky in terms of the value, and then converting that e-gold to USD was a bit of a hassle since you need to use a 3rd party service to do so.

Now I'm currently not investing in any currency but am considering to do so in the near future. When I have some money saved up and feel confident in investing I'll probably do so.

I'm still analyzing the strong currencies...

I use American dollars to do my investing. I have an IRA and a few stocks and bonds. Would not mind owning some gold, but so far have not done so.

i invest in gold and property because thats something whose value will appreciate over time, while with currency it can even depreciate because it depends solely on the global economic conditions of different countries.

Normally I just use US dollar to invest but ever try to use Euro once. But I really comfortable by using US dollar instead of any others currency.
