Thread: Is this good Portuguese???

Hi. Please give me some help. I am dating a Brazilian. I am trying to figure out whether what she wrote me is good proper Portuguese. She is supposed to have a college education, but I am a little concerned witht the lack of punctuation in her writing. Google translation was horrible but I am not sure whether it is Google or it is her writing.

Would appreciate if anyone can tell me.

MAybe she was emotionally affected when she was writing that?

Anyway, very bad use of written Portuguese.

Maybe she was very affected when wrote to you and didn't concentrate in the grammatical rules. It doesn't mean she is doesn't have an education unless you ask her to write a proper letter to you without mistakes, then you can found out. I have a good background as a writer but sometimes I write to my girlfriend and I don't care much about all rules. What I can say is, her letter was very deep and sentimental...

Newbie, I think Google translate gives you a general idea what she is trying to say. My understanding it is hard to translate Portuguese to English. I bend the grammar rules all the time....LOL

But....

Why would she write a letter in portuguese to you in the first place????

So that you could translate that on google? lool

Do you speak Portuguese? If you do speak some she may think you can also read Portuguese.

Or if she speaks English she may not be able to write in English. I know some works or phrases in Portuguese, but clueless writing it.

You could always asks her.....
