Thread: Do you need a bank account?

Do you need a bank account when living in Brazil? Is there anything you can't do without a bank account?

I don't think you need a bank account. All you need is money. Of course, it is a lot easier if you have a credit card or debit card, which you can get through a bank account.

If you mean living and working there as a resident then I think having a bank account is really important to store your hard earned cash as well performing other bank transactions and such.

Well nuaeman, bank account is not compulsory but still it is an important need. One surely want to keep his money safely & to carry on different transactions where he stays as you have already prescribed.
