    Default Sports in Brazil

    I was wondering if someone could tell me, besides soccer, what other sports are popular
    in Brazil? Has baseball caught on there yet? I am not sure if I saw them participate in baseball at the last summer Olympics. Any information on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

    Hello, football is the first sport in Brazil and after Volleyball. The ranking would be as following:

    1. Football;
    2. Volleyball;
    3. Swimming;
    3. Basketball;
    5. Olympic sports

    In most cases, sports in Brazil are practiced as leisure activities, and not as sports.

    Hi Danno, anybody plays baseball in Brazil...maybe a lowermost few people must play.

    I don´t know why, but Brazilians don´t like Baseball, despite being a very interesting sport.

    Brazil's affection for sports in general is shown by the huge number, around 8,000 sports clubs throughout the country. No other sport in Brazil can compare in popularity to soccer, where it is called "futebol".
    The Maracanä Stadium, built in Rio de Janeiro for the 1950 World Cup, is the second largest in the world with a capacity of 150,000 spectators!

    Capoeira is a Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, sports, and music. It is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power kicks and quick leg sweeps, with some ground and aerial acrobatics, knee strikes, take-downs, elbow strikes, punches and headbutts.

    We Brazilian hot girls also love to play beach soccer. The tropical climate and ideal environs of Brazil encourage outdoor activities and sports.

    Soccer is the number 1 sport in Brazil.. The proofs are the great brazil soccer players like Ronaldinho, Kaka, Neymar, Socrates.. etc.. And they are also the host for the world cup 2014..
    Aside from soccer basketball and volleyball are also popular..
