Going Green in Brazil
Ecology is a very important subject worldwide as well as in Brazil. One way of helping the
environment and saving the rain forest would be to reduce carbon emissions and recycle whenever you can.
One way I reduce my footprint is by using earth-friendly products and staying away from plastic!
-
I go green separating plastic, glass and organic rubbish for recycling... I also, I try to avoid use car and bus.. I rather walk
Isn't better?
-
Our country always have the same promble with yours.
The people and the goverment for money, they alway ingor the bad result.
I think the way what changing person's mind is useful.

The Brazilian Government is aware about caring the Amazon Forest, and the politicians have been taking efforts in order to keep it safe.
This is a mankind issue!

I found this quote on the Internet and thought I would share it with you all...I beleive it sums up the problem in a nutshell!
"In many tropical countries, the majority of deforestation results from the actions of poor subsistence cultivators. However, in Brazil only about one-third of recent deforestation can be linked to "shifted" cultivators. A large portion of deforestation in Brazil can be attributed to land clearing for pastureland by commercial and speculative interests, misguided government policies, inappropriate World Bank projects, and commercial exploitation of forest resources"

Yes, Brazil is considering a lot of sustainable products and design techniques to save planet earth and provide a better life for Brazilians and other people. Lots of modifications are being made to take this into consideration as well.
-
Yes, we Brazilians are very committed to the Ecology.
-
As the importance of environmental issues become more and more realized, property experts in Brazil have predicted that eco-tourism will be crucial to the development of the Brazilian property market. Itotally agree, it's a win-win situation for all!
-
Another great way to save the Brazilian environment is to take advantage of reusable utensils such as tiffin lunch boxes. If you want to get away from plastic products and own a long lasting and durable container, then these smartly constructed latch tiffin lunch boxes and pyramid tiffin lunch boxes made of high quality stainless-steel are perfect alternative towards a clean green-living lifestyle for you and your family.

PV (Partido Verde) is the principal Political Party which thinks Ecology 24 hours per day, in Brazil.
-
This fact was taken from the Internet website - SaveTheRainforest.Org and really stresses the need for ecology!
THE COST OF RAINFOREST DESTRUCTION
. . . "almost half of the world’s original four billion acres of rainforest are now gone. The lost area equals the combined size of Washington, Idaho, California, Nevada and Arizona."
. . . "in 1500, there were an estimated six to nine million indigenous people inhabiting the tropical rainforests of Brazil. By 1900, that number had dropped to a million. Today, there are less than 250,000 indigenous people left in Brazil."
One way to reduce are carbon footprint and help save the rain forest is to use eco-friendly products. There is a great site called http://ecogeeko.yolasite.com/ that can help.

Pollution is a big problem today in Brazil, it has degraded Brazil’s rivers, threatening the water supplies of most of the population, and environmental disasters are common. Back in 2000 alone there were major oil spills in Rio de Janeiro’s Guanabara Bay and in the Iguaçu River. The Brazilian government’s environmental agencies regularly fine manufacturers and mining industries for violations, but much more needs to be done!
-
Dozens of parks, biological reserves, and other protected areas have been established in Brazil’s vast wildernesses, many of which remain pristine; however, state and federal governments have not adequately maintained many parklands, and some have been modified to allow for new highways or other construction projects.
-
Brazil is a very large country, and Amazon forest is a vast land, too.
It´s not so easy to protect the vast land from bad and fool people.
-
If you would like to get started helping Brazil with ecology, a good place to start would be - TAMAR turtle reserve in Bahia’s Praia do Forte.
-
What could be more fun and enlightening then going on an ecology tour that will take you to see some of the world’s most precious eco-systems. Brazil’s vast Amazon rainforest and the Pantanal wetlands in the far west of the country are some of the largest and most biologically diverse natural habitats on the planet.
-
Many people really believe that the only with the use of reciclabe materials and avoinding plastics they are doing their job with ecology. Even though the great ecological problems in Brazil are much more than this! Farmers are burning the north region forests and the majoriy of cities don`t have sewer treatment, and through toxic waste on the rivers. Many beautiful beaches are being polluted by the waters of polluted rivers, as in Ilheus, Bahia state.

We know that PV or Green Party in Brazil is the political group founded to defend our environment, natural and social. But the last years many of its affiliated are using the party to personal purposes and forget their commitments, which is sad.
