For the most part, they are that different than anywhere. People like to play sports, go to clubs, and play board games.

Here are some cool pastimes: Sand boarding in the dunes, whitewater rafting in the mountains, hike lakeshores, snorkel in an area of fascinating wildlife, and ride horses in the countryside.

Orkut was the thing in brazil years ago, however it has mostly been replaced by facebook in the past year or so.

Orkut was akin to myspace in america. Now most people dont use either.

Mprado, I know when I visited Spain twenty-something years ago Dominoes were very popular there, but I did notice they had some different variations on the game then we have in the United States. Is the same true for Brazil? Are there forms of dominoe games that are unique to Brazil? Just curious...thanks!

I guess sex is a very big pastime in Brazil according to the following birth rate chart! :-)

The above entry gives you the average annual number of births during a year per 1,000 persons in the population at midyear; also known as crude birth rate. The birth rate is usually the dominant factor in determining the rate of population growth. It depends on both the level of fertility and the age structure of the population.

Year Birth rate Rank Percent Change Date of Information
    2003 17.67 131 2003 est.
    2004 16.83 131 -4.75 % 2004 est.
    2005 16.83 132 0.00 % 2005 est.
    2006 16.56 135 -1.60 % 2006 est.
    2007 16.3 134 -1.57 % 2007 est.
    2008 18.72 109 14.85 % 2008 est.
    2009 18.43 110 -1.55 % 2009 est.
    2010 18.11 107 -1.74 % 2010 est.
    2011 17.79 109 -1.77 % 2011 est.

Hello everyone! I know that Brazilians young and old really love their soccer, but I was just curious, do Brazilians bowl? The reason I ask is because I heard tale of Bowling World Champion 2009 - Pedro Paulo, from Brazil! Is this true? Thanks in advance.

In São Paulo city, the best pastime is walking into the malls!

There are restaurants, recreation areas, cinemas, etc.
