Check out the
Taverna Pub
This pub is attached to the Lua Cheia Hostel and resembling a pub inside a medieval castle, this ever-popular tavern has music every night, from live Brazilian rhythms to 1970s disco and blues. No flip-flops are allowed.
When near Natal, I like to check out this gigantic cashew (cajueiro) tree! It is the largest in the world and stands in pirangi do norte in the province of Parnamirim in Rio Norte near the town of Natal. The total size of this 117 yr. old tree is about 8500 square meters. Right around the months of December and January , the cajueiro tree puts out somewhere in the neighborhood of 80000 fruits. Even though the cashew tree is a significant tourist attraction, it's has also become a pain in the neck for the locals. It's branches are growing an estimated 3 meters a year and are now overgrowing the roads next to the tree!!!
I love to slipping down the dunes toward the beaches.
Bathed in wonderful sunshine and beckoned on all sides by towering sand dunes, Natal stands at the edge of Northeastern Brazil closest to Europe. Natal, being the capital of Rio Grande do Norte is one of the most attractive spots on the Brazilian coast!
