Thread: Getting sued

Have you ever been sued? Do you know anyone who has been sued? What happens when someone sues you?

People don't sue each other as much in Brazil as they do in the United States. Depending on how much the lawsuit is for, you may need a lawyer.

I've never got sued but I do know a friend of mine who is a lawyer and usually you need to settle or solve the matter as soon as possible or face the court.

Fortunately I never have been sued. One of my friends was sued once, for some business dispute. He had to hire a lawyer and spend a lot of money to get himself out of the mess.

I too never got sued yet. But I have seen people who often ready to sue others specially some company to make some bucks. However its a good idea.
