Default Dilma Rousseff, the new President of Brazil.

The first woman President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, will start her government in January 01, 2011.

She will govern Brazil for 4 years (2011-2014), and her political party is PT - Partido dos Trabalhadores (Workers Party).

We all Brazilians hope she invest on infra-structure of Brazil, such as new airports, ports, more railways, more roads, electricity, etc.

Brazil is a great country which has been growing strongly!

We wish good luck to our new President!

    Cheers!

"I dedicated all my life to the Brazilian cause. I delivered my youth to dream of a just and democratic nation, " said Rousseff, choking up as she spoke before her cellmates, who stood in the front row of the Congress.

The election was in october. Rousseff was victourious against José Serra, from the opposing party PSDB, in a tight dispute.
Also, she is replacing Lula da Silva, former president for 8 years.

According to my post, Ms. Dilma announced in her 1st day of government that she will privatize INFRAERO, an institution that regulates and manages the airports in Brazil, and her team will invest on airports expansion, too.

    That´s great!

The new president must have a very good political will to win that election. I was just curious.. Rousseff was put into prison right? Doesn't it affects her candidacy?

She was put into prison for political reasons during the Military Dictatorship period. She was a guerrilla woman, she was trained in Cuba, and she fought against the Dictators. Lula has indicated her to substitute him promising the end of misery in Brazil. Lula was the most popular President that Brazil ever had, and the President who most helped the poor people. That´s why Dilma was elected.

Yes, she had lots of guts, but she was accused on taking part in a home robbery of a famous politician named Ademar de Barros. Look, Dilma was a member of the group that has fought against Dictators, and the group needed money to keep the fight on. This was the problem...lol...anyway, the poor people, middle class, and companies have approved Lula´s Government, then they didn´t consider that bad fact. Anyway, there are no conclusive proofs about her participation on that robbery. Mysteries.

    Things of Brazil...lol

Yes, PT (Workers Party) has been doing a good job since Lula was elected 8 years ago.

Brazil is very, very stronger than 20 years ago.

Brazil is a very rich country in all aspects!
