Thread: Have you ever been to Porto Alegre?

Have you ever been to Porto Alegre? If so, when? Did you like it? Do you plan on going back?

I was there once many years ago. This is the land of the Gauchos. I would compare them to a kind of brazilian cowboys.
If you are into farms, cows and horses, this is where you will find them. Considered by some to be the best place to
live in Brazil, Porto Alegre is a very vivacious and upbeat town. I would definitely visit there again if I ever had the chance!

Yes, 3 years ago I´ve been to Porto Alegre and I love the capital of Rio Grande do Sul state, because the people are very beautiful - Giselle Bundchen was born in Porto Alegre - you feed very well, where we can eat our famous barbecue done by Gaúchos, and because we can drink the best Brazilian wines of our country.

Porto Alegre was dominated by German and Italian people in the colonization time.
Very nice city to visit!

I've been once and I didn't like much......if you wanna go to the state RS I would suggest to vist Gramado and Canela....they are 2 beautiful places.....
