Is Rio de Janeiro popular? What do you think?

My answer is yes, That is big city and that is the first city in Brazil I know before get to know other city.

Yes, Rio is one of the most popular cities in the world, sharing position just behind the city that never sleep (Newyork).

Is it any big city in Brazil are so wonderful and popular as Rio de Janeiro. have anybody from brazil here who can give me an answer. Thanks

Next to Rio comes Sao Paolo. It is also very big and important.

I see, btw I heard Rio de Janeiro is known with its crime rates and such, I wonder if it's the same with Sao Paolo.

Since I am not from Brazil, I did some research. It is truly famous. Well, the giant statue of Jesus (known as Christ the Redeemer) located on a mountain top has been named as one of the New Seven Wonders of the world. In addition, the city has also amazing beaches and spectacular natural setting.

I think yes, Rio de Janeiro is a very popular place in Brazil. I have learned that it was the second largest city in Brazil and it is where beautiful beaches can be found.

Whenever I think of Brazil, the first name that comes across my mind is Rio de Janeiro

With its spectacular beaches and 11.7 million inhabitants, who would say Rio de Janeiro is unpopular?

obviously.... it is popular... one of the names that pops up in mind whenever i think of brazil...

is there any hesitation about the popularity of Rio de Janeiro? it is one of the largest cities of the world and it also have the most popular stadium (Maracanã (Viagem helicóptero))in the heart of it. The city also have the Cristo Redentor statue, which don't need to be described. i am not a Brazilian but i know these things so the city is far more beautiful than my description.

Yeah, Rio is quite popular for good and bad things. It will become even more popular in 2014 and 2016 with the games.

yes its a big issue. they are getting the chance to show the world that they are not only beautiful but also safe and developed.

Rio de Janeiro is really great! The most popular city i think.. It's just being featured in the news all over the world because they made it into the Guinness World of Records for having the largest floating Christmas tree in the world.

really? i heard it before. but i didn't care cause i thought that was a joke. is is the only floating Christmas tree in the world?

maybe there are other floating christmas trees but not as large as Brazils'.. =D

Yes of course. Rio de Janeiro is the most popular city of Brazil and very known in all the world. Beautiful nature, wonderful beaches, nice people, diferent culture, good foods, etc.
