Are there a big gap between the rich and the poor? what are the society's view to this problem?

Hmmm... Maybe the gap that you are talking about is that poor people do not mingle with the rich ones. It is mainly because they don't have something in common. Obviously, rich people have different likes and dislikes, different places to go, eat more decent food and have their own set of friends. For me, the problem of being poor is within ourselves. Let us not blame it to the government or to anybody else, let us blame ourselves for it. Our social standing depends on what we are doing in our lives.

I think I agree with prettysue. Our social standing depends on what we do with ourselves. When I was young, we lived in a shaggy house. But because of determination to succeed, my siblings and I studied and worked hard. I would not say we are now rich, but, at the very least, we now have a decent house to come home to, and food on the table 3 times a day, sometimes even 5.
