    Default Poverty and Hunger?

How do you feel about poverty and world hunger? Did you know that 18,000 children die every day because of world hunger?

It's a sad issue really, and unfortunately it's no fairy tale either. I try to donate if I can afford it, but on a small scale if a guy asks me for money I usually give him a bit. And while many people say it's not worth doing so since that person is probably too lazy to get a job, they might indeed be poor and it's better to help them out by assuming they actually need it. At least your making an attempt to combat poverty in your local area. And also finding a job isn't that easier either, especially a good job so that's a rather ignorant excuse.

It's sad that so much money is spent on making weapons and such while it can be used to help and generate more jobs to prevent poverty. As the population grows I find more and more people suffering from poverty.

well said mate. Beside ignorance of people create this problem too. Overpopulation is the one of root cause of this evil. So, I think creating awareness should be also taken into account as this problem persist more in Asain countries.

I believe the wealth distribution in the current world is in a terrible state, rich gets richer and poor gets poorer. A very few people actually eat, spends and enjoy much more not because he earns it with his own sweat but through means of exploitation and such. It's sad that we have enough food to feed people but it's not properly spread out at all.

Well Nuaman, I think a man is poor not because he is born poor because he thinks he is poor, he accepts the truth and never works to get rich but to feed himself. And those who dares to see beyond their imagination & work hard, they achieve what they dream for. It is said that, "It is not your fault that you are born, but it will be if you die poor "

overpopulation and the polarization of monetary funds like the rich are getting richer and poor are getting poor are the main causes for that,so to minimize or remove this problem from the root we have to educate the common masses try controlling the population growth which is alarming at this stage plus the countries who are growing at a rapid pace should also try and keep the common man growing at that pace too, else there will be more and more people shifting towards the poverty line.
